9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.	Opening Keynote Dr. Ann Cavoukian Topic: Privacy by Design: How to evolve your data strategy in 2023 and beyond Description: Former 3 time Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, Dr. Ann Cavoukian now Executive Director at the Privacy by Design Centre of Excellence at Toronto Metropolitan University explains why embedding privacy into the fabric of organizations makes them better for all parties concerned. Key Takeaways: Privacy HAS to be engineered into organizations to prevent privacy invasive events. Avoid false dichotomies such as privacy vs security. It is possible and necessary to have both. The interests of the individual needs to be paramount at all times.

Bedrock AI uses large language models (a type of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT) to assess textual financial disclosure in real-time. Kris will discuss qualitative data, forensic analytics, and using AI to better manage risk.  Key Takeaways: We can now quantify and test relationship between qualitative risk factors and negative outcomes AI models like ChatGPT allow CPAs to take advantage of textual information in a structured format Qualitative data is essential to risk management
