This seminar is intended to cover the procedures and practices in Canadian Tax Court, assuming the participant has a working knowledge of personal and corporate income tax. The attendees will look at the topic from both a public practice point of view as well as that of larger taxable organizations. There are two seminar leaders - a senior tax lawyer, and a long-time practitioner who has been to tax court both as a witness and as agent.

- The Appeal Process - what not to say
- Tax Court rules, procedures, and formats
- The roles of accountants in Tax Court
- Strategies and tactics to increase the chances of winning, or reduce the losses
WHO WILL BENEFIT:
CPAs who are responsible, directly or indirectly, for persons or organizations that have some risk of significant tax re-assessments. Public practitioners will be able to help their clients understand the process as well as reduce the risk of re-assessments in their businesses.
