EVENT DESCRIPTION

Members and Public are invited to a special CPA Ontario event at Rogers Centre in Toronto on August 16, 2023 with Toronto Blue Jays v. Philadelphia Phillies.CPA Ontario will host you in a private suite on the 400 Level (Seating Area 410), which includes a buffet dinner and a seat, with a cash bar. Members can bring family and friends and make it a memorable evening.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Design thinking is a discipline inspired by the design world to help organizations innovate. It is used to assess complex issues, identify their underlying causes, brainstorm fixes and implement the best possible solutions. By using design thinking, business leaders can approach problems in a more systematic and creative way, resulting in more effective solutions that better meet the needs of their customers or users.

This eLearning course is divided into several modules which learners can complete in a time convenient for them. Learners are encouraged to further divide the course up into manageable chunks according to their schedules. Modules include an assortment of engaging short videos, interactive sessions, reflective questions and takeaway worksheets.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Explain design thinking principles
  • Demonstrate problem solving through reframing and root cause analysis
  • Design a solution to identified problems
  • Practice building and testing prototypes
