This full day seminar covers useful tips for accountants who work for Not-For-Profit organizations. The tips are illustrated through concrete examples derived from real experience. Value will also be derived from the sharing of experiences and practices by the participants. An in-depth, financial reporting improvement case, set in the sector, will give attendees dozens of ideas to improve their financial reporting. SPEAKER(S) BIO

Stephen Priddle is the President and founder of Practical PD, Seminars for Accountants, as well as VP, Finance, Chief Financial Officer of the SureWx group of companies. At SureWx, he is in charge of all aspects of the firm's financial operations, treasury, forecasting, tax and compliance.

An engaging and experienced speaker, Stephen weaves practical and often unconventional tips together with stories from his work and input from participants. Seasoning the mix with a dose of accounting humour, he serves up useful and dynamic seminars, based on years of corporate experience.

After working with KPMG for five years, he moved into industry. He has held financial leadership positions in several companies. He has wide experience auditing and advising Not-For-Profit organizations and charities. Stephen is the long-time treasurer of the Met Warriors Hockey Club, and also volunteers widely for charities in non-financial roles.

Stephen speaks at accounting conferences and presents accounting seminars to accounting bodies and professional organizations. He teaches in the new Canadian CPA Professional Education Program. In the past, he taught in all three legacy professional accounting programs. Stephen has taught at the University of Toronto and Carleton University. Stephen is also a prolific author. He has authored hundreds of business, accounting and finance cases, used by accounting bodies, universities, training programs and Big Four accounting firms, including many Not-For-Profit cases. Stephen sits on the Board of SureWx Inc.

Stephen obtained his CPA, CA and CMA designations following graduation from Carleton University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.
