This five-day program will provide Executive Directors and Finance Managers with essential tools, frameworks and models to strengthen non-profit finance and its integration with strategy as well as to assess and strengthen the four elements of the non-profit business model: cost, revenue and capital structures and program portfolio.
The program includes case simulations, practical exercises and group discussions focused on strengthening knowledge in strategic non-profit finance.
Participants will come away with a strong understanding of the role that finance plays within a not-for-profit organization, and have the tools to identify organizational risks and improve processes.

Betty Ferreira, CPA, CMA, is a former CEO of several non-profit organizations, and the founder and principal consultant of a boutique consulting firm focused on nonprofit restructuring and turnaround management (ReStructure Consulting: www.restructure.ca established in 2005). Betty’s work in the past 25 years has focused specifically on conducting mergers, turnarounds, restructurings, start-ups, strategic planning and finance process reviews in the nonprofit sector. Betty’s goal is to advance the capacity of management accounting in the nonprofit sector through teaching, writing, consulting and guest speaking at related conferences.
Program Times
Program Requirements - A laptop computer is required for this program. Please bring your laptop to class with you.
Optional Exam - Participants who complete the program will be eligible to write an optional certificate exam. The exam is not a mandatory component, however Certificates of Completion will ONLY be awarded to those who successfully complete the exam.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) - Course confirmations for CPD tracking purposes are sent to all participants via email regardless of exam participation.
Withdrawal and Transfers Policies:
Withdrawals can only be done online through our registration portal. If one wishes to withdraw from program before the withdrawal deadline (2 weeks prior to start date), there is a withdrawal fee of $50 (plus HST). If one wishes to withdraw after the deadline, full program charges apply. Once withdrawn, you will receive a credit memo onto your account.
