EVENT DESCRIPTION

We heard our members … you’ve asked for more local networking events! As a result, we are pleased to offer members and public the opportunity to interact and make new contacts at a special CPA Ontario event at the Tim Horton’s Field in Hamilton, Ontario to watch the CFL Game of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Edmonton Elks. CPA Ontario will host you in a private box which includes a buffet dinner and non-alcoholic beverages, an assigned seat, with a cash bar. This game is a special one for the fans - Hall of Fame receiver and 1999 Grey Cup champion Darren Flutie will become the 26th person inducted to the Wall of Honour at Tim Hortons Field. Members can bring family and friends and make it a memorable evening.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Effective time management is essential to meet deadlines, deliver quality work, increase productivity, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. If you want to become better organized and maintain a healthy work-life balance, you have to be able to prioritize and distinguish between what’s urgent and what’s important. And doing so makes you more productive and boosts your well-being too. In this course, you’ll learn how to make better use of your time and determine where your priorities lie.

This e-Learning course is broken into several modules that learners can complete in a time convenient for them. Learners are encouraged to break the course up into manageable chunks according to their schedules. Modules include an assortment of engaging short videos, interactive sessions, reflective questions and takeaway worksheets.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Identify their own time wasters
  • Describe how to determine and organize their competing priorities
  • Apply tips for implementing the rules of efficient time management
  • Describe how to manage requests from others
